In order to really get a perspective or view on any topic you need to know about the history of the situation. Many of the stuggles for the people of South Africa began in the mid 1600 when white Europeans began to immigrate into their country. The biggest influence in their country became the Dutch East India Company. This area was in interest to them because of its vast mineral wealth. Still today in South Africa there are a vast number of whites and Indians. This has played a crucial role in their culture, with the many racial struggles that have gone on between the people there. A good example of this was in the Republic of South Africa when the apartheid was put in place in the mid 1900’s. This was a system of legal racial seperation. It was not abolished until 1994 and the country still struggles with racial equality to this day. In todays culture there are many problems that Africans struggle with, and their history indicates that out side influences play a role in this.
